Release #5: YCH Cryo Blends
Made in collaboration with Yakima Chief Hops, this release features as currently released Cryo Blend, Cryo Pop™, as well as two experimental Cryo blends, 20-M and 20-B. While we’ve worked with YCH Cryo blends in the past, this is our first time brewing with these exact experimental blends.
Cryo Pop™
Described by blender Spencer Tielkemeier as
“Peach, Pineapple, Strawberry, Guava, Lush!”
This was the most favored variety, with tasters describing notes of lemon & tangerine with general fruity and citrus flavors.
20-M
Described by blender Spencer Tielkemeier as
“Mango, Gooseberry, Sauvignon Blanc.”
Tasters described this blend as “dank & aromatic” with strong resinous flavors and notes of grapefruit, apple & berry.
20-B
Described by blender Spencer Tielkemeier as
“Blueberry, Pineapple, Orange Sherbet, Sweet!”
Tasters described this blend as “refreshing” with strong flavors of banana and cannabit and notes of black currant & general fruit.
Cryo Pop™ Popped Off!
We compiled our feedback, and Cryo Pop™ received the highest hedonic scores of the lineup! This series was well received and generally referred to “very fruity.” One taster described the Cryo Pop™ variety as “a veritable fruit basked of hop flavors.”
