Release #7: NZ Hops

Made in collaboration with NZ Hops, this release features one commercial hop variety, Nectaron, as well as two experimental hop varieties, NZH-101 and NZH-102. While we’ve worked with hops from down under in the past, such as in Chook Sanger, this is our first time brewing with all of these varieties.

NZH-101

Described by NZ Hops as
”Lime + ripe mandarin, melon, tropical fruit”

Tasters preferred this variation, which showed notes of lime and soft melon.

NZH-102

Described by NZ Hops as
“Red fruit, candy/lolly, citrus, tropical fruit”

Tasters described this variation as “smooth” with notes of citrus and light vegetal/green flavors.

NECTARON

Described by NZ Hops as
“Pineapple, passionfruit, peach, grapefruit”

Tasters described this variation as “dank” with notes of orange, tangerine, and ripe peaches.

101 is Number One!

We compiled our feedback, and the NZH-101 variation received the highest scores of the lineup! This series was generally described as dank and citrusy, with drinkers describing NZH-101 as having the most robust and fruitiest aroma, presenting strong lime flavors.
