Release #6 USDA Varieties

Made in collaboration with the United States Department of Agriculture, this release features the USDA commercial hop varieties Cashmere and Triumph, as well as the experimental 2006009-047 (or ‘074’ for short.) Fans of Single Hill will recognize Cashmere from all versions of our award-winning fresh hop Energy Cone and Triumph from the 2020 vintage of that same beer.

Described by breeder John Henning as
“Orange; lime peel; tropical, floral aroma;
stone fruit backbone”

Tasters described this variation as “very tropical” and having strong lime citrus flavor.

CASHMERE

Described in sales literature as
“Lemon/Lime, melon/peaches, thyme”

Tasters described this variation as “subtle” with notes of melon and soft citrus.

TRIUMPH

Described in sales literature as
“Peach, bubblegum, lime/orange, pine”

Tasters described this variation as having strong flavors of pine, with notes of lime & bubblegum.

Cashmere cashes in!

We compiled our feedback, and Cashmere received the highest hedonic scores of the lineup! Tasters described this series as generally subtle, with lime flavor across the board. Cashmere presented melon and soft stone fruit characteristics.
