Release #2: Haas Experimentals

Made in collaboration with the team at Haas, the experimental hops used in this release were bred by the Hop Breeding Company and grown at Yakima Golding Farms. Two of these HBC experimentals might be familiar to Single Hill fans, but the third was new to even us. These hops proved to be punchy & bold, with huge flavor differences between each of the dry-hops.

HBC 586

Single Hill fans will recognize this hop from our past releases Lateral A & Stormy Monday.

Described by Michael Ferguson, Director of Hop Breeding at Haas as: “Ripe sweetfruit, herbal, cayenne pepper kick.”

Tasters described this variation as having notes of grapefruit, mango, & tangerine.

HBC 630

Single Hill fans will recognize this hop from past releases Future Echoes & Public Knowledge.

Described by Michael Ferguson, Director of Hop Breeding at Haas as: “Mellow fruit medley, herbal.”

Tasters described this variation as extremely fruity, with notes of lemon, cannabis, and mango.

HBC 1019

This is our first brew with HBC 1019 & the first beer made with 1019 that most of us have tasted.

Described by Michael Ferguson, Director of Hop Breeding at Haas as: “Wow! Piña colada, tropical, candied fruit, dark rum.”

Tasters described this variation as deeply tropical, with notes of pineapple, coconut, & orange.
